I’ve just been temporarily suspended from Twitter because of a…board game review! A few days ago @ThinkingAspiring asked me about the game I was playing, “Spirit Island,” and I replied with a brief accurate description of the game. As a result, Twitter now suspects me of advocating white genocide!
Just delete the tweet. Twitter is just a big board game, itself. Gotta play by the rules, son. (But, you COULD also enjoy real life while you can!) Take care.
Sorry about the suspension. Twitter moderation seems pretty dumb and they never seem to suspend people who believe in actual genocide and have the means to do it. The game seems fun, though I have yet to play it. But I enjoy games like Stone Age, Seven Wonders, and co-ops like Zombicide Black Death, Pandemic, Forbidden Desert, etc. so will have to look into it 😀
I've had a similar issue twice while discussing sports.
The more recent suspension was in April, I think, and I wrote: "MLB deserves a slow, painful demise. It is actively giving the finger to the very people it hopes will save it. Disgraceful."
I sent them MANY emails asking to have this strike removed from my account, because it's obviously absurd, but I never heard back.
For shits and giggles, here's the other tweet I got temporarily suspended for, back in January....
"I was really hoping the @BuffaloBills could hang on but the @Chiefs getting the ball to start OT was a death sentence given the way the game was going. Unreal. #NFL #DivisionalRound"
Apparently, this violated Twitter's rules against abuse + harassment.
Uff. I hope we’re back to seeing you on Twitter again soon.

But, great game review. I picked up Terraforming Mars recently and am loving it.
I haven't played TM in a long time. I remember liking it!
