The race for the Democratic Party’s nomination in New York City’s mayoral contest has narrowed to two men: Mario Cuomo, New York’s disgraced former governor, and Zohran Mamdani, a state senator and member of the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America).
Interesting writeup, though he seems more like "Less well known and less baggage Andrew Cuomo." Also, I am very skeptical of the organization "Teach for America" since most people who join that don't become full time teachers (also am skeptical of charter schools, I've never heard a teacher say they loved working at one).
All a moot point for me since I voted last Saturday. No real perfect candidates for me, but I voted on principle, as always.
Plenty of voters who want an alternative to Cuomo and Mamdani, *seven* other candidates on the ballot--and none of them have caught fire. Why?
Andrew Cuomo not Mario (see first sentence)
Argh! Fixed! This is why editors are great!
